Love this idea, I will make up my own wheel and use it for students who finish "early" on projects! Thanks Christa. :) Cindi

I have reproduced the "Art Synector" from page 126 of "Art Synectics by
Nicholas Rourkes (Davis, pub). It is a wheel with numbers 1-100 with a
spinner needle. The seniors spin for three different numbers. These
correspond to a list of words which I have mounted to the back of the
spinner. A senior might get "Imprisonment, Mickey Mouse, and slogan" or
"Birth, Game, Umbrella." I ask for a composition incorporating all three
to be finished during the exam hour. They like the element of surprise and
the time limit. Cheating is impossible, so the exam may be taken at
different times, breaks may occur in-between, and they may even spin ahead
of time to prepare(study)for the final. They actually ask for this
exam..."will we be taking the same exam as last year's seniors?"
Christa
