I am not sure if I want to vote on the top 10, like others have said...few
have been to all of them to truly vote....
but a list of art museums could be quite valuable.
Certain states that have supported art teachers in elementary schools for
over 40 years also have a tremendous record of immense support and patronage
for their museums with truly magnificent art collections.
As I have lived in various states, the amount spent on the cultural arts and
art education is extremely varied.
My students and yours truly are the future of the arts. The cost of art for
museum collections is phenominal....I always take time to show them art that
is in local museums and then also share other museums around the world that
they can see more of it. Even in 5th and 6th grade, my hope is that they get
their parents down to the art museum and support it.
I tell them that they are directly linked to the future of art.
