Happy New Year Everyone!

Thanks Judy for putting the list of Fishy names on the list serve - of course I don't mind.  As for the fishy names - they are all real fish names - mostly tropical - thanks to my mom who did the research for me.  I deleated from the original list the obvious ones like "cat fish" and the ones that I thought would bring on trouble (like "puffer fish").  The "Egyptian Mouth Breader" actually gave me no problems - the kids really liked that one - making the fish into a pharaoh (one student even drew the fish like an egytian releif "walk like an egyptian" type of thing - really funny!).

I also like the idea of doing this as a scultpure....though I think I would let the students have more of a say in which name they got - when I did the first day thing, I gave them a name.

Enjoy!
