Get the book by Mona Brooks, Drawing with children. It's easy enough to use
with a three year old. You draw along with him so many he won't feel so
pressured.
Also, if he enjoys cutting and pasting, show him some works by Matisse. Not
all artists drew everything. Good luck. I used to teach 4 year olds and at
that age they usually love doing large motion activities. Let him draw with
big chalk outside. That might free him up.
