Ok, now beyond having both Ceramics 2 students and Advanced Ceramics students I
will have first timers. Ceramics 1 is not a prerequisite for Ceramics 2.
However, 90% of the Ceramics 2 students have completed Ceramics one. It gets
    confusing/frustrating.

They have learned coiling, pinchpots, slabs. Projects seemed to hit the full
range between the two teachers but not all students did the same projects. He
taught 2 different lessons at all times to avoid monotony for himself between his
4 classes. He is so full of wonderful ideas he can go the whole year this way
and not repeat a project. I worked independently from him. So here is what has
been done...that I know of...between the two of us.

    Pinchpot tea bowls
2 Pinchpots made into vases with foot and neck
Large Greek vases done with slabs
Tea pots and 2 tea cups with any combination of handbuilding techniques the
    students chose
Pairs of tiles with one continuous design
A set of tiles to install into the school
    Coil containers made into animals
5 small objects of choice (boxes, bowls, etc...)
Slab boxes with engraved images to tell a story
Boxes made with bits of clay inside of a cardboard box and then knit smooth on
the inside but texture showing when cardboard is removed from the outside. They
also had lettering of other cultures on each side carved into small tiles.

One idea is to do four plates done in an artist's style (vanGogh, Matisse,
    Picasso, etc...)

And for Advanced: a water container with 2 cups. Part of the grade will be on
functionality. We will have a private critique actually using the container and
cups. I will provide the water, juice, tea...whatever they want. This will
hopefully get them to more carefully think about the handle, thickness of lip,
cleaning it, etc.... when they know we are going to use them.

Thanks again to everyone who helps me. I cant believe how I am stressing over
    this. (****Sigh*****)
