    The information is correct regardless of the story that illuminates it.
    It is absolutely safer to boil water in a kettle. It is also necessary
    to include a good conductor of heat to help dissipate the energy in the
    event that the microwave heats higher than the boiling temperature. As
    soon as the cup is shaken the heat will cause the water to overboil violently.
