Your description indicates a 4 year old with verbal skills and a manipulative
nature. The act of "drawing" at an early age is not results oriented, that is
an adult or near adult domain. Having been pressured, this bright child has
been given a useful tool in the manipulation of adults for attention getting.
Any kinesthetic activity at 4 years old is beneficial. Any additional
pressure to make marks on paper or grasp an instrument less awkwardly, is
    not.
