I have a charachter map for the symbols. It is an alt key trick and
corresponding codes using the numbers on the left side of the keyboard. I
will explain:
Using notepad I press and hold down the alt key wil punching the code 0174
that = ?
If you want to get silly go to the site
http://www.ae.utexas.edu/~mcdonald/map.html they offer HTML source codes
but the link http://www.ae.utexas.edu/~mcdonald/ascii.html will list the
codes
>From this site you will read: § = ? (scroll to find it) to
produce that symbol hold down the alt key and punch code 0167
notice I dropped the &# as they are the codes to use within HTML
to play in notepad substitute the alt key and a 0 before the numbers.
Let me show off:
$era?er$ that's me in a fun chat with my nephew
$o?`?o$o,,,,o$o? insert stuff `?o$o,,,,o$o?`?o$ ....I have this saved on
notepad for the same chat for a quick copy/paste and then I change it to
read: $o?`?o$o,,,,o$o? Hello Folks! `?o$o,,,,o$o?`?o$
Are ya thirsty for more?
~$?ebo?ah$ is an eyecatcher in a loaded room...I monitor my nephew that
way and it has been a nice hook to teach him about computers. Mac users
can delight in the fun as well. I have a chart from a font company that
shows the use of the shift key as well as an Op key (I don't know the Op
finction)

ps: vat iss with das umlauts??? Apply Decorative Diacritics! It was a
