based on experience and course credit? I have had people (who are not
teachers) ask me if I make the same as the other teachers, like math,

I explain slowly and carefully that ALL art teachers are fully certified
teachers PLUS being certified art education teachers, in other words you get
two for the price of one!
And yes, I get exactly the same salary as any other teacher.
