Hi all....just had to tell you about how great our parent's association is.
Today my colleague and I went to our mailbox at school and found that the
parent's association has granted our request for several reproductions
totaling $140.00 we had asked for as part of a "WISH LIST" they provide for
teachers. Not only that, but there was also another envelope for the two of
us with a check for $100.00 each. It was a gift given to EVERY teacher in
the school with no spending requirement except that we use the money to
benefit the children in our class....however way we wish. They did not want
any receipts just a short note to say what we spent it on. (anything we
wished to do with the money as long as the children would benefit from it)
This was the first time they did this and I think it is wonderful. The "WISH
LIST" grant alone would have been great. (last year they granted us a new
printing press!!!) It is really nice to be appreciated by the parents in
this way. (Our parents association is so supportive they even provide lunch
for us which they cook and bring in once a month!) Anyway...we were so
thrilled I had to tell you all about it! Any suggestions on what to get with
the extra dough? My colleague thought some odor free water soluble oil
paints for our "Art Studio Elective" students with part of the money. What
would you get? Diana
