Need advice:
I have an independent study student (very talented) who is working on a
painting...4'x4'...acrylic...and relatively detailed (started the painting
last semester). This painting is going to take this student the whole of
next semester to finish, if she finishes it by June. The dilemma is...how
will I evaluate this student who is basically involved only in this one work
of art?
The rest of the students are required to complete 8 to 10 projects for the
semester, two of which will be extensive sketchbook assignments. They are to
select an area of concentration, research an artist/artists and other facts
pertinent to their area of study. Is this too demanding for a semester?
Will appreciate any input.
Thanks,
Bets
