    Hi,

I tried the request in September once, too... a few teachers did reply. I
asked for a simple list of main themes they taught in Social Studies the
previous years and what time of year it was presented.

After struggling to coordinate, I finally gave up. I do still support the
curriculum, and have decided that timing is not so crucial. I get feedback
from 6th grade teachers in another school that my Egyptian unit in 4th Grade
was recalled by many students, and is a great foundation for them.
Conversely, I have noted that my unit on Navajo Art is best recieved by 4th
graders near the end of the year after they have studied the info in their
    own class.

The teacher who used to come and expect me to drop my curriculum to support
hers has retired... it was good working with her, but I do not miss the
    frustration.

guessing quite a few). For some reason many teachers think that it's okay
for them to come to me to ask me to do a certain project with their
students, so that they may use in the classroom (ie clay animals for their
dioramas). I wouldn't mind this so much except that, I asked for these
curricular "ideas" in September and got no response from any teachers.
Since then, they come to me the week of this " great idea for a project"
and expect me to drop everything and support their classroom curriculum. >>
