    Dear All:
        I didn't mention what Larry is talking about. Good point. If you are
    self employed that is another story from the itemizing. Those expenses can
    come straight off your taxes with no limitations. You would put it on a
    Schedule C as business expense. No need to itemize and you still get all of
    your regular deductions. You do need to be careful if you are deducting part
    of your household expenses unless you have a studio exclusively for business.
     You should maintain a separate bank account and phone line. All of your
    paints, brushes everything counts if you sell your work.
