Subject: #80 sulphite paper?

I use an inexpensive tagboard for tempera painting Sharon, and works fine.
The heavier sulphite should hold up to some watercolor work. I use it for
kids to draw on, and then apply watercolor washes to color the drawing. I
don't use the sulphite with the idea of the whole sheet substituting
watercolor paper, but it does handle areas of washes quite well.
Also...with my kids in 5th and 6th grade...I begin to prep them for
watercolor and acrylics in my upper grades...I thin the tempera paints and
have them use color again to color in drawings. Right now I am putting
together a large display of colorful fish that the kids are creating. Each
needing to be done on an 18" x 24" piece of paper.
