I'm open to other suggestions for types/weights of paper (as long as
    they're
    economical).

    Sharon,
I found a local printer that will donate a few times a year - all the
poster board that will not run through the press. This printer specializes
in folders and various posters and signs. I am sure you can find something
in an afternoon of phone calling.

My printer caught me in their dumpster ~~~grin~~~ and invited me to the
loading dock for a "candy store tour". We have been friendly ever since
and they boast a few of the kids paintings in the walls as well.

if you are on a list respond to me directly dsterner
