Keep in mind when using Sculpey, Fimo, Cernit, Promat "clays" that they are
not meant to be used in the kinds of thickness that clay is used. You
should use armatures - anything that won't melt or burn at warm oven
temperatures. These polymer clays should be rolled out to paper thinness
and draped over a form. Other wise you are throwing away lots of dollars.
I often start with a base of rolled alluminum foil and work my figures or
objects over it. I suggest anyone who hasn't used these "clays" look at any
one of the instruction books on the market. The New Clay by Nan Roche is
excellent. This can be a very sophisticated medium. The possibilities are
     incredible.

I need to check on that clay by Nan Roche. I have a book called How to Make
Clay Characters by, Maureen Carlson. They explain the foil armatures and
other things. I also just bought a pasta machine and have a plain and
textured rolling pin. I am getting ready to go play with it right now. See ya.
