MAC

I have always been and will continue to be a MAC person. If you do any kind
of problem solving it's just easier with the MAC. Last summer I got a G-3
(wish I had waited for the G-4) I LOVE it but have experienced frequent
crashes. It seems when trying to print a simple text document in Microsoft
Word I either get a message that there is not enough memory or the machine
crashes. I found out yesterday that it is because I do not have a USB
printer. When I got the G-3 I had a fairly new, very good Epson printer. I
installed a SCSI card in order to run it with the G-3. It seems Microsoft
Office doesn't like the connection. It's Microsoft not MAC. I'm trying to
find out now if Microsoft is going to resolve this. All of our Special Ed
teachers at school were given iMacs this year but using Epson 850 printers.
They can't even print out an IEP. Those of you having problems with your
    new iMacs might consider this.
I used Claris Works for years and just switched to Office. I regret it.
The curriculum that I spent hours and hours writing unexpectedly turned to
"gobbly-gook" one day. I have spent days trying to recover it and translate
    it back.
I think the Microsoft motto is -- get the product out now, the bugs out
    later.
    Good luck to all.
