I imagine that each object is going to be
>constructed in a different way depending on its form.
When I do large paper mache forms, we stuff plastic grocery bags with
crumpled newspaper. We can vary the size of course by the amount of
newspaper and the size of the bag. We then put a generic layer of
cheesecloth dipped with plaster, sheetrock really.
I have found for durability at least, sheetrock works pretty good. You
can get a premixed five gallon bucket for about 10 dollars and it goes a
long way. (I always mix it with water.)
One thing to have on hand in large quantities - paper towels and
patience. It makes quite a mess. Isn't that what art is all about? :)
