thick magazines under the foil work fine for me. I purchased plastic tools in
the JL Hammett catalog- you can access their web site for more info- ball
point pens will work fine, just caution them to not push too hard or it'll
cut the foil.I have done some kind of repousse project every year now for 3
yrs w/ my 6th graders and they really love the results. They present
stunningly when matted for the art show. Hope this helps
