Try Drawing with Children by Mona Brooks. I use this prorgram (with some
modifications) with my kindergarten students and it works great. It would
also help if you read up on what skills they have at this age. Seeing the
sky above and the ground below is normal. It takes practice to understand
how it really is. Do teacher directed sketching with him, but expect that he
will do it his way when you're not directing him. It's representational art
that you see at this age. They are not very concerned with making it
realistic but putting down an idea.
