    The actual chair was in my own studio for years. One year the kids stole a
    colander from the Independant living class and fastened it from the
    ceiling. It was known as the idea chair for the longest time.

    I really like your idea with the time out chair as "not a bad thing".
     Isn't it interesting that you experience fewer behavior explosions in the
    art room - presumably an environment in which the students have some choice
    and creativity?
