Hey, I did a lesson on Heraldry w/ my 4th graders and had the SCA guy come give
a demo/talk on heraldry for the regular classroom teachers. Very kewl
cross-curricular. Each kid had to make a banner/flag/standard with 4 icons that
stood for them. They first drew it out on paper (18x24") and got their design
approved. Then they cut one big piece of fabric for the background and cut the
icons out of smaller pieces, then sewed them on the big piece.
