wallpaper self ports

    I did this exact project!! I loved them, too! I printed out their names on
    the computer and mounted them on colorful contruction paper backs and they
    were so beautiful! Great minds, hm? ;)

    I did a self portrait lesson and used wall paper fabric as the background. I
    had the second grades draw their self portraits on a white sheet of paper.
    They drew every thing but there hair. After they were done theey cut their
    portraits out and pasted them to a wall paper or fabric sample of their
    choice. Some of the samples were quite colorful and had lots of pattern. They
    then took yarn and glued their Hair onto the tops of their self portraits.
    They cam out looking histerical and the kids had a blast.
