FYI The Simple Screamer is listed in the Sax 2000 catalog on p.398 product
#571 7237 $17.95. This book has been around a while and I agree, it can
produce some interesting results. A teacher I know down in Whitewater, WI
did an extensive lesson and the results were so dramatically appealing that
she displayed them throughout the community to rave reviews. One of the
things she was surprised at was the amount of time they took so be prepared
for that if you do them. I was quite impressed with what I saw. Judy

    Sculpture lessons:

We are presently making "Screamers:" (there is a book about Screamers), and
boy oh boy are they coming out great! Screamers are large paper mache/cloth
mache fantasy animals...Ours will be waterproofed and put around the school.
The specific assignment was that there Screamer had to be 'pondering' an
invention of the last 1,000 years. What a panic, they are really funny! I
have everything from the plunger to the potato chips being pondered.
