school nurse is like art

    I think our school nurse visits when there is a problem. I guess sort of
like a doctor on call, but only for emergencies. A student may get cut or
bump on the head and we have to provide first aid. Somehow I think there are
some legal issues in there. I was told indirectly that if we need a nurse,
might as well call an ambulance.
    It is a shame that school nurses seem to fall to the wayside like some
art programs. Unfortunately it is usually due to a lack of funding. It makes
me wonder what goes through those budget people's heads...
