Talk to a Kindergarten or Early childhood teacher in your district. They
might know if your district offers that type of evaluation. Two of my
cousins were tested in Kinder, when they had trouble matching colored dots
on the toys to the colored shelves. Since their mothers knew they were
possible carriers (they are sisters and their father is color blind) they
had the schools test the boys. I don't think this would effect color, but
kids' vision can be effected this time of year by allergy and cold medicine.
The kinds that dry out your sinuses also dry up your tears creating a film
over the eyes, blurring vision.

Does anyone know where to get the color blind test cards? I always seem to
have a student in my 2d painting class that is questionable on the colors.
Also, I was talking about the tests in class today and some of the students
are interested in seeing them - they are cards with colored dots and
different colored dots in the middle to make a number. Color blind people
can't see the number.
Thanks!
Deb
