Re: Elem. Chinese New Year Ideas?

I've done Paper Dragon Masks with 1st and 2nd graders. We used were paper
plates, markers, crepe paper ( used for the mane) and sticks ( to hold up the
mask). We did read a story before we made them about the Chinese New Years
Celebration and they were able to see pictures of the great dragon costumes,
which started their wheels turning. They were quite colorful and fun to use.
The kids came up with some interesting designs for the faces.
