Hi! There is a great book called marblizing paper and fabric and it's
beautiful. It shows how to make trays, combs, rakes, etc. and the designs
that result from the kind of tool (bouquet, feather, etc.). It also shows
beautiful end products and tells a little about the history.

I use acrylic paints thinned -- you can buy the paints specially made for
marbling -- otherwise you should try several thicknesses of paint before you
try it with a class. The stuff in the tray is made out of caragean and
should be available at art stores near you -- there is also something called
marble thix which I haven't tried yet.

Have fun!

Julie
