For example, there are probably enough art projects to carry you to the end
of the school year which require minimum materials: pencil, paper, crayons,
scissors, markers, etc. Use your imagination and not only will your work
load be greatly reduced, your students will learn what it means to be truly
creative. Best wishes, Mselle>>

She's back!!
I have had to wait a day before I respond to this email from poor Astroboy
(Sandra). I am so sorry! I waited because this kind of stuff makes me
physically ill! When are people going to see that the arts should be a pillar
of strength to uphold the other academic subjects. Can you imagine them
telling a fourth grade teacher or a math teacher, or a science
teacher......."Oh sorry, but you don't have a room anymore."
This is so RIDICULOUS!! Well I ramble.
Basically, I agree with the message above. However, I would also say to
comply and do your best while you look for ANOTHER job. I wouldn't want to
work for people who have this attitude towards the arts in education.
