Another question I have: I get envious hearing so many of you discussing the NAEA conference. It sounds like many of you are able to attend this every year (is that true?) How are you able to do it? Does your district pay for you to go? Do they let you take the time off? Or do you just go on your own nickle? Our district has a mega-grant--one or two people get to attend a major conference every year--many apply. It seems like a once-in-a lifetime opportunity. I attended two, back in the 70's (two different school districts), so I know they're great, but I've about given up hope of ever being able to attend another one. I feel fortunate that my district supports my attending state conferences (involving one day of release time).
Thanks,
Mary H.
