Art Instruction Booklet

I am looking for a good instruction booklet for a home study student.
I want her to be able look at examples and learn to draw,
semi-on-her-own. I will be helping her, but not very closely. I was
looking through the SAX Catalog and found a few. Does anyone have one
that you would recommend? The one I was looking at is, Learn to Draw
Now! by DuBosque. I need a basic How To Book. Please send any info.
