Just off the top of my head -- paper sculpture; origami; drawing a "frame" one
day, and self portrait the next, inside the frame with crayons; make origami
hat one day and decorate with cut and torn paper the next.

I do several weeks of figure drawing with the little ones (clothed, of course)
and after a couple sessions they turn out very well. I do continue until
everyone has had a chance to be a model.

Self portraits with cut and torn paper. I bought some face shapes this year
and they decorated those, but in another school I forgot to buy the shapes,
and we just used construction paper. I had them go to the counter with a
partner and decide which was the best color to match their face. A quick
lesson on facial proportions -- great results in two 30 minute lessons!
