Re: nudity with elementary students

Boy, did you hit the nail on the head!!! I agree with you 100%!
I also have a story. Since both my husband and I are artists, my son
has been exposed to the nude body every since he was a baby. When he
was in 3rd grade, I donated some of his coloring books to the very
conservative school that I taught at the time. Stupid me did not check
them out first. He had drawn several interesting pictures inside the
covers....some of them of nude females. One of my fellow teachers was
looking thru the books and asked who donated them. I sat quietly by and
listened. She was showing some of the pics to our fellow teachers.
Unfortunatly, my son decided to sign one of his beautiful nude females.
I was so embarassed!! I just smiled and said, isn't that cute? and
left the room.

I guess we all have these kinds of moment with our children.
