A personal story here. My parents have a nude figure painting hanging
over their piano. It's been there for 30 years (since I was 6). When I
was in elementary school I was the most popular kid on the block.
Everybody wanted to see the "naked lady" over our piano. It is considered
Playboy style and the woman is turned toward the viewer where you can see
everything. I've been looking at that painting for 30 years and I turned
out fine. In fact I am an artist so maybe it influenced me to become an
artist. Which of course gives justification for looking a nude people all
day! :)
However, I am shocked that people find nudity more shocking than
violence and crime. It's o.k. to see somebody beaten up or murdered, but
heaven forbid if we see somebody naked!
