On weekend news they addressed the story of a painter (didn't catch his
name) who painted a portrait of Tiger Woods. He then editioned the work
into prints for sale. He is now being sued for using his likeness for a
profit.

What about Warhol and Monroe, Chuck Close, Grant Wood, etc. Did they
all have permission to show their likeness? What are the copy right
laws regading this issue?
