I already posted a response to this, but I have not seen it come
through...so here goes again :
In my hometown of Rockford, Illinois, several years ago, the board
made a decision to cut all athletics-and I believe all extra curriculars-but
for sure, the sports. The kids involved with sports-mainly,
physically-gifted kids, (right?) were so in need of an outlet for their
energies, they pretty much began trashing (vandalizing) the schools-seems
that sports provides that channel, as well as providing the concept of
school spirit. Imagine if you will, a district which denies all the creative
energy outlets mentioned in the post above....don't you think there will be
hell to pay? And in a Karmic sense, they WILL havew brought it on THEMSELVES!
My only other question would be, 'is this some type of negotiations
ploy?'
