I teach k-2nd grade and have similar problems, the art room's only sink is
in the small class bathroom, students are not permitted to use bathroom in
hall. I have tried providing buckets with damp sponges, (I have done that
at art camp when the sink at that facility was too high for preschoolers to
reach), but at school, after a week, the teachers were afraid that students
might get germs from the sponges, even though I cleaned them with bleach
every day. Now I remind them to wash their hands in our bathroom sink, and
if they all can't get to the sink,(because it's in the classbath room) they
are to use the sink in their own classrooms. Each classroom has a nice big
sink in it. Except the art room! Strange isn't it! Good luck. Sincerely,
