Hi to all, I take pictures of the kids work throughout the year and get
doubles made. This helps me organize my files so that I have examples of
artwork and it also helps me if I get in a bad situation like I am this
year and have to put a new teaching portfolio together. I bring with me on
my interviews: my portfolio: which shows lesson plans (just a few) with the
actual pictures of the work. Pictures of me and the kids (so that they know
I am visible in the classroom) and other things that I have done. Like art
shows, art presentations to schools, curriculum that I have written. I
collages everything together and find that if I start it off with my
personal teaching philosophy it really gives the interviewer a sense of who
I am as a teacher. I try to have a wide range of materials and grade levels
in the book and find that these portfoilios have kind of become a scrap book
of sorts...a book full of good memories! Good thoughts are with I try the same route of new employment!!!
