There is a very good idea using Wyeth´s painting of Christina´s world and a
work by Red Grooms in the DBAE curriculum sampler. I have done this with my
students changing it a little bit that is I added an icelandic painter to
the group and we studied all the painters well and then focused on the
method of painting by Wyeth and the icelandic artist and the students then
did an acrylic painting in the style of these painters but choosing their
own very personal motif. It was really successful.
Best regards from the far north, Rosa
