visually impaired students can and do respond to color. Even those who cannot
see it. They tend to associate colors with emotions, favorite foods, smells,
with their other senses. When I think about this it makes me smile inside (I
am visually impaired). The blind students I have encountered "see" more of
what color is all about than their fully-sighted peers.
