Dear Jen,
You have a treasure in the Episcopal Church, you have a direct line to
Jesus. Yes, He's coming, but we need to be prepared. I feel your heart
yearning for the Word of God. Go back, find a church you are comfortable
with. I love the Catholic Church. It has a direct line of leadership we
can trace back to Jesus himself, we have Our Blessed Mother and the
Saints who intercede for our cause before the throne of Our Father and
His Son; we have the Sacraments, as a means of Sanctifying grace. They
are the tools Jesus left behind as physical demonstrations of His love
for us. The Church is the Mystical Body of Christ which Jesus left for
future generations so that the Truths of the faith would be preserved,
when His physical body was resurrected. We find Him through the Word,
through the Sacraments, through each other, and also through the priest,
also, who stands at the Altar in His place to offer the Sacrifice of
Love, and hears our humble Confessions and forgives our sins as the
representative of Christ on earth. We have Jesus, Himself, in the Holy
Eucharist, who sacrificed His life that we might have eternal life, but
the main ingredient is knowing, loving and serving Him. This you can
find in the Episcopal Church, also. By this I do not mean to diminish
the work of any other Church. I have great respect for other religions
and denominations. I just wish to express my own personal beliefs,
freely, as any one is allowed to do in this country.

The Church can help you, encourage you, and support your journey, for
Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. God Bless you. I will be
praying for you.
