It was nice to read about Western Placer Unified School District
introducing the 4th element into the school curriculum at all grade
levels in this Sunday's San Francisco Chronicle. (page d-8)

Last year the Western Placer school board voted to make <bold>the arts a
core subject</bold>, meaning the arts would be taught as a basic
subject.

Apparently the school district has around 3000 students from grades k-12
and is instituting the study of the four basic arts
components-dance,music, drama and visual arts.
