On the idea to lobby & legislate art as a legitimate subject: 'BOUT TIME!
If you are talking to people who may get the ball rolling, perhaps this
would help: The Reed/Hatch Ammendment (I believe that was 1992) included
wording to recognize various "arts therapy" as "health promotion & disease
prevention" services. Perhaps these Senators could be interested in
similarly promoting art education.
