I agree that there is something about the size t of the AIDS quilt that
says something about the extent of the problem and the extent of those who
have been hurt by it and by the extent of those who want to do something to
And of course you are right that the message of the individuals pieces
(warmth, etc) is very important.
Now that this project has been done, can quilts be used to refer to other
problems (like Brenda's environment project) or does the drive for
originality demand that another artistic solution be found?
