Jen, I need your advise. You saw her response to me. this is what I wrote to
her. Is it too strong? Should I just ignore her response and not answer?

To Ann Carolann,

Thanks for your comments. I may be ultra sensitive to religious dogma because
of all the diversity of religions of my students. In our public schools we
have students from all parts of the world -- I believe that our ESL teachers
work with students speaking over 60 languages. Probably just as many
religions. I would never, never want to hold one religion above another
before them, nor put down any of their religions. I feel it's their parents
place to teach them, and whatever they learn about their religion is fine.
One day they'll grow up and make their own decisions about what to believe.

Regarding your statement above, have you looked at any ancient Greek vases
lately? It's been around a lot longer than you or me -- since the beginning
of human beings! We can choose to live in the kind of world we want to live
in. We know what is out there -- as a matter of fact, we NEED to know what is
out there, but we make our own choices and good choices are made with
information and facts. Living a sheltered life is dangerous for us and for
our children. Learning how to react to different kinds of humanity and
situations forms our psyche and our intellect and our knowledge and our
ability to cope.
