hi! i'm new to this discussion group. i'm not a teacher, but a student. i am
doing an ap research paper on american art. i chose my topic to be georgia
o'keeffe. i am now in the process of forming a thesis for my paper. the one
i'm pondering now is "an abstract life: georgia o'keeffe and the inspirations
behind her work". this is just something to start from. i have done a little
research, but i have only seen the beginning. i don't want the whole paper to
be about her life nor the entire thing about her work.(by the way what kind of
artist would you consider her? abstract, modernist???) i am interested in how
her life affected her work or maybe some type of critical anaylisis of her
work in relationship to the painting school she could be classified in. it
probably sounds like i have no clue, but honestly i do, this is only a work in
progress. any help or insight would be great. thanks. -katie
