Dear Ann: Thanks for thinking about me...funny you should mention that you
were in school in 1970 and not 1997. I was telling my husband about your
comments, and that as a new teacher, (basing my conclusion on the 1997
graduation date), you were not only bright, but probably very young, and
that although I am also a first year teacher,(again, based on the 1997 grad
date), I'm sooooo much older that a generation gap might stand in the way
of an extended dialogue. Though I received my MA last year, I'm a late
bloomer and am actually about your age...unless you're a late bloomer too!
In any event, age shouldn't make a difference...but it is nice for one such
as myself, just starting this career at my age, to have a "buddy" out
