This is what drives me crazy: Each classroom teacher has their own behavior
mod system: smiley face stickers, behavior self-assessment books, loss of
recess time, loss of holiday parties, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Each one
wants me to participate in their goofy system. I would need a spread sheet
just to keep track of all the nutsy behavior modification systems these folks
have come up with and that they want me to participate in. Of course, do they
bother to discuss with me if I even buy into this nonsense? And this junk is
on the rise: "Rules and consequences," point systems, punishments, rewards,
ribbons, candy, buttons, pretzels, "good behavior sticks" (this one is really
bizarre), chocolate covered pretzels, awards...arghhhh!
