Be a toughey like me! I mean, if you are clear about it, and it sounds like
you are, then there shouldn't be any misunderstanding. Do you send this
policy home at the beginning of the year?
In terms of grading, by the way, my homework is graded one, two, or three
stars - roughly a 75, 85, or 95. If a kid hands in a piece of junk he did in
front of his locker two minutes before class starts, I grade it a U for
unacceptable, but I do give them 25 points, because I figure it's better than
not handing in anything.
