I also do weaving with grades K-5. I have done the warm/cool watercolor
weavings and sometimes have them cut out an arrangement of geometric
shapes out of colored paper, putting the colored paper with the holes cut
out on top. that looks pretty neat too--adds a little interest to a
plain weaving.
I am interested in learning more about the circular weaving with sticks
with grades 3-5. I have done little pouches on cardboard looms with
sixth graders. they were pretty challenging for some. I also would love
to hear more ideas and suggestions for weaving with kindergarteners. I
haven't been real successful with the kindergarteners and weaving.
thanks for any input.
